La Posada de Santa Fe is a luxury hotel and resort located on six acres in downtown. The adobe style hotel features 157 rooms and is rumored to be one of the most haunted destinations in New Mexico.
Julia Staab is the ghost that is known to linger at La Posada. The former mistress of the mansion died after falling into a deep depression due to the death of one of her children.
Some of the paranormal reports at this Santa Fe hotel include sightings of Julia's full body apparition, items flying off the shelves, a fireplace that turns on and off by itself, and even a report of a waitress' trays dropping as though they were being pushed from underneath.
Julia's spirit has been subject to tons of ghost tours that have been featured on television shows like Weird Travels and Unsolved Mysteries.
