Santa Fe State Penitentiary - Santa Fe NM Real Haunts

The Santa Fe Penitentiary, now known as the Penitentiary of New Mexico, has housed some of the state's worst criminals. It was also home to one of the most violent prison riots in the history of the United States. During the riot, over 30 people were killed and more than 200 inmates suffered from serious injuries. It's safe to say that the prison's haunting reports likely attribute to the riot, where people were burned alive, brutally attacked, and murdered. Both standard and paranormal tours are available at the penitentiary.
